A day totally enjoyed by all! Ross is quite an interesting guy, with many varied experiences, including time in Antarctica.
Don't worry folks, Scott was alone in his plane during the water skiing. A very nice job of it I might say; went for about 100 yds on the water.

The water skiing looks like fun, but at the same time very dangerous. Any mistake in alt could result in some swimming.

Yes Paul, we thought of that - so we checked the water temperature first. Idea for swimming.
    cheers

I definitely wouldn't want to try that in Alaska! With my luck I'd be swimming.

I thought that looked like IRON CROWN. Sorry I missed you. Did you get a chance to connect with J.R. He loves it when people fly in. I'm just sorry that I had to work. It would have been great to meet Ross. I have been following his build with a great appreciation. His enthusiasm is truly contagious.

Dutch, nobody was around when we landed at Iron Crown; was hoping to meet you or JR. We just relaxed there awhile then took off for home. We did peek into your hangar to show Ross your Kitfox.

    G'day Dutch,

Yes it would have been good to meet up - you Portland Kitfox guys certainly have some wonderful country to fly around and Iron Rown was a great strip. as Jim said, they took the liberty of showing me the Kitfox. It looks like you are right into it with everything pulled apart like that. It made me feel just like at home! and I guess there is a story behind that little fix on the left wing tip!?

At LAX about to face 13hrs of ross the pacific - and then getting stuck into the project so I can learn to fly the three amigos!

    Cheers
