Great pics Ross.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the Kitfox where I can put er down in places that don't have to be so prepared. Somedays I think the ole Cherokee is scared of height the way she performs.

I want to see if I can make a bush strip here??
Any advice?
Will keep you posted.

P.S.
How can I upload the KML file for Google Earth that will take you to the area??
It can be e-mailed, but not attached to this post...
In the meantime, use the co-ordinates at the bottom of the picture to go to the area.
I use a Program called Skitch, (Note: I use the Dark Side Computer an Apple iMac) it does Screen Captures. Once I capture the image, I paste it into Powerpoint as a Picture, then I save the Picture as a file. It can be saved as a PDF, PMG, or a BMP etc. It took me longer to type this than to make the photo.
I typed in the coordinates in your post, but I did not get the same area you show. It may be a typo error. But here is the Picture document. Once I have saved the file as a Photo, I can Import the Picture into a Document.

You can make a bush strip anywhere! It's hard to tell from an overhead picture but if the approaches are clear and the ground is smooth enough for your comfort, then it's finished. If you want it so your friends in their nose staggers can use it too then you may need more work. I have designed and built two airports. One was a certified class 3 PLR9(737s) paved strip and the other was a grass strip built to class 1 certified standards.
I think this should be moved to its own thread. Let me know if you want more info.

I mowed a 1500 foot strip and filmed a 360 degree view. It is going to be one way in and one way out. Over the hill at 0:06 It has quite a steep gradient towards the North West - (0:35)
My 7.00 x 6 's are asking me to do a bit of hoe work to fill in the bigger spring hare holes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IlccuattOk) and an ant bear hole or two (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9363GX97bA), but I think it is going to be fun.
Now for a couple of sleeping shelters and a few friends to come and play.
You can see we are in our dry winter months, but what you can't hear is the strong June wind - Icy!
Thanks for the feedback so far, all.
Regards
Reid
