i had the lexan that was for the windshield with the paper that wouldnt come off . so i use it for a template to make sure everything fit before i started cutting the metal . the frame tubing forward of the panel dictated how the instruments are arranged . the instruments came with the kit except for the eis . the eis was a good move . the layout is working well but if i was doing it again , i would go with glass .

Here's mine...
Here's mine.
Plus a couple pics of the Van's glove/map box install.
Now this is what I am talking about! One small post and look at the help we get. These are some beautiful panels. Thank you DanB for getting this started.

My panel will have steam, fuses and an IPad (cardboard mockup in the pic). No doubt it will evolve into something different once I start flying. I'm at least a year away from completion. Some interesting aviation apps are already available with more expected. Image is reversed by the way.
Gonna fly it from the right side, huh, James Bond.
(The photo is reversed, evidenced by the backwards numbers on the altimeter.)
Seriously, I like the iPad installation. My hangar-room mate uses an iPad with his plane. Pretty cool. Lots of neat stuff available.
