Hey Eddie, how does the pooch like flying? I would love to take mine but don't think there is enough room.
Nice meeting you and your boys at oshkosh!

Enjoyed the video Eddie. Nice flight. The view was amazing and doesn’t that engine work great on such a small amount of fuel per hour. Your video is witness again of what a fun cross country aircraft we fly. Also liked the quiet between the commentary and atc broadcasts. Gives a real sense of the peacefulness of a Kitfox flight.
Thanks for posting.

That was a great first flight Eddie. He will remember that for the rest of his life and it may influence his future more than you both could imagine. Good physics lessons imbedded also. I think you gave him a good deal of attention considering the type of airspace in which your flight originated and concluded. It’s always interesting to watch a good pilot prioritize information intake and exercise the ability to filter out distractions and concentrate on the first duty which is flight safety. Your passenger/copilot quickly picked up on this and adjusted to assist you. I enjoyed his “blue echo” broadcasts. He’s a quick study. I think his new “nick name”, call sign, will be Blue Echo from now on.😉

Because of the precautionary landing I did 30 min south of Vegas I took more than two hours. However, I have 4.6 hrs total trip time on my transponder. I came directly home and had a 2.6 hour time because of the headwinds of up to 35 miles per hour North of San Bernardino. I had 10-15mph tailwinds going up so I was making great time at 7500ft .

Eddie,
I’d appreciate a couple pics to see how you blocked off the lower cowl. I’m looking at doing the same thing. I can exceed 220 cylinder head temp in the climb and I don’t want to run that high.
