Lowell, that's a perfect description of the Owyhee strip, its so narrow that a wheel landing is nearly mandatory so you can see where your going.
Phil, I had planned to camp overnight at Owyhee, but it was so hot and desolate that I decided to go to the next spot, Land Inn Ranch-cool, green and shady.

    Default Valles Caldera

I live at the foot of the Valles Caldera in New Mexico. I broke out of my flight test area last weekend, and took a little tour around the Valles. It's great Kitfox country.

We're having a horrible drought (Been 10 years of really below par Rain and I'm tired!), but that doesn't mean that we (My brother and I) can't still have a load of fun in the Wriggleswade Dam....

Morning breakfast in the desert with friends.

Friday morning 16 aircraft made the 15 minute flight from Indian Hills Airpark to Crooked Tree for a great breakfast. Eggs and ham on the fire pit grill and lots of coffee and breakfast sweets. No calories of course. Perfect weather with 9 am sun chasing everyone out of their light jackets. Two fly overs by a local RV-4 pilot with some sportsman aerobatics to boot and a VW powered Sonex. Always a great time at Crooked Tree.

    Beautiful Arizona sky.

The night before my brother’s neighbors threw a little hangar party. 65 or 70 of their closest friends dropped by. Food was incredible as was the two full tables of desserts. Their Kitfox had to spend the evening at one of the other neighbors to make room for everyone. Five Kitfox’ live at this airpark.
