Coffee and donuts in the middle of nowhere. Good stuff!

I hosted a Short Airfields Operations Worksop at my place at the bush strip.
We presented some technical lectures and then we had a representative of AOPA South Africa give us a presentation, after which we did some high density altitude flying as well as landing and taking off.

The Border Aviation Club CFI and other instructors said it was a great and safe weekend.
    Well Attended!

Midlife Crisis all tucked in for its first Overnight in Laughlin Nevada (technically its Bullhead City AZ). It was a nice stretch for a cross country test. Two hours of a little bumpy ride but nobody got ill. That is saying something since my girlfriend has a tendency to get motion sick. Sorry no real aerial photos. It is in fact a pretty scenic flight if you appreciate desert flat lands with rugged mountains sticking up. You can see in the last photo that had I been headed to Vegas I would not have made it into there. Big monsoon like system over Vegas which had the airport shut down to arrivals of all planes. Lots of airliners were holding waiting for it to pass.

Lowell, that's a perfect description of the Owyhee strip, its so narrow that a wheel landing is nearly mandatory so you can see where your going.
Phil, I had planned to camp overnight at Owyhee, but it was so hot and desolate that I decided to go to the next spot, Land Inn Ranch-cool, green and shady.

Did you stay at the Owyhee Hilton? I really like the interesting airstrip and remoteness of it.
