Was doing the mag timing on my IO-240B Slick mags, and it's been on my mind to try my el-cheapo
meters inductance function to see if it would pick up the points closing, and voila - It works perfectly

You cannot do this with a normal meter, because you need the inductance function.

Put it on the 200mh range, and clip to the p-lead and ground, and when the points are open it reads the
inductance of the coil, and when they close it will go to zero. Also useful to keep tabs on the coils and
see if they are breaking down over time by simply recording the reading each time you do a mag check.

$13 and works as well (probably better) than a buzz box.
