They are for a cargo belly pod or something similar, way to weak for float rigging.

If they have nothing to do with float, ski or cabane gear mounting I would prefer to cut them off as well. I'm glad someone asked! They seem like a pain to trim fabric around (considering what can happen as it shrinks).
Why not leave them on; the next owner might want to use them. They are really no problem with the fabric, just apply and shrink the fabric over the top of them without cutting thru. Then after the last shrink cut thru with a small soldering iron and let them pop thru. Apply a round doily over each one and you are done.
