Default Kitfox / Stits lemon yellow paint

    Hey Guys,

Getting ready to do some work on my model 2 painted with Stits Lemon Yellow. Want to repaint my belly pod and do some touch - up on some wheel pants.

I don't want to buy a quart of Stits to use a cup of paint.

Does anyone know of a commercial spray type match for the Stits color?

    Thanks,

    Pete

Any automotive paint supplier, that has a mixer, can match the color for you. I have gotten as little as a 1/2 pint at a time for touch-ups on cars. I don't know what type of paint would be compatable with the Stits paint, though. That may require some experiments.

Pete, When I needed to paint the hard parts (fiberglass, metal etc) of my Series 5 , I visited my local auto paint supplier and they matched my yellow paint with Dupont Centari enamel (great stuff , very durable). To match my Polytone finish , I had to dull the gloss with a flattener that is added to the mixed paint. Bruce
