Hey all, I'm looking for advice on getting a Kitfox V flying again. It suffered a collapsed gear on landing 7 years ago and has been stored in a garage since. It was put on new Grove gear, and the fabric has to be patched, but cosmetically is in good shape. Has the 100hp geared Subaru and it did strike the prop, but my buddy says the gearbox automatically disconnects in such an event? I'm not familiar but should the box be inspected at least, even if the motor and crank are protected? Also, what kind of replacement prop would be best for this setup? Anything else to consider? I'll be having an A&P give it a thorough condition inspection and do any work required...I know that if I waited to have time to do it myself I wouldn't be flying it this summer at all ha. Thank you!
