    Default Kitfox STI

Was wondering what the pros and cons of the STI are. Ideally I’d like the Titan X340 to put in the aircraft. I’m curious what the total cost of build would be with a standard “stock” engine. I have limited knowledge on the Kitfox but love the STOL inspired STI. Could I build this aircraft with a factory engine for less than 75K? Any information you folks can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Search the forums, but basically:
    Pros: improved short field performance.
    Cons: reduced cruise performance.

You *can* build it around $75k, but you'll need to hunt for some deals to make it happen. Most current builds go well in excess of that.

With a “factory engine” for 75k... nope.
Find a project and build your own 340 for less than 75k? Yup. If you can build a vw engine, you can build a lyclone.
