Thread: Pitot tube coupling

  1. #1

    Default Pitot tube coupling

A while back there was a discussion about cutting the pitot tube close to the rear spar and splicing it when the wings are installed. I did a search but can’t seem to find what I m looking for. If I recall correctly EFWD had a solution. Does anyone know what I’m looking for?

    thanks in advance

A piece of 1/4" fuel hose is cheap and works just fine.

I'm not sure why you would want to do this? You can easily install the wing with a big coil of pitot tubing hanging out of the rear spar. It comes out behind where the spar bolt goes thru. Splice later on in life if you need to; the fewer joints the better IMHO.

Yeah, I don't know why either. Those are pretty nice devices Dustin found and cheap too. Well, what am I to do with all these connectors I have collected now?

Just seems it would be easier to get all of the panel work done before the wings are attached. Or am I missing something?
