    Default Dual brake option plumbing

Does anyone have pictures of how you ran the brake lines between the master cylinders that you would be willing to share? I drilled the holes in the inboard master cylinder brackets as some suggested. I am confused because the pulleys for the adjustable rudder pedals look like they will cause intereference.

I have the brakes for both seats.

I did not use the holes that the instructions have you drill in the brackets. I felt it would chaffe running through those. Biggest tip is make sure you leave enough slack for your adjustable rudder pedals. I covered them in the Chinese finger trap material and shrink wrapped the ends. I will see if I can get you some pictures but I ran mine down low so they would not interfere with the firewall.

Thanks for trying. The picture in the manual has the elbows pointing slightly downward on the lower fittings and I think it would force the brake lines into the floorboard every time that pedal is forward. So, I am a little confused. I haven’t rigged the rudder yet, so that adds to the uncertainty as well.

You will need to disregard the manual pic. . Only with regard to the position of the fittings. The bottom fittings are going to end up nearly parallel with the floor while the top ones will likely point down at about 45 degrees. I couldn't imagine this working out until I started using zip ties to collect the tubing together and routing them down from the manifolds to the floor. I have the parking break as well so enroute to that part I had to tug and pull things around and zip tie the brake lines to the various parts within the center console all the while leaving the slack in the lines so the adjustable peddles had the room to move without pulling tight on the break lines. Expect this to take some effort.

I don't know if these pics will help you or not-they are not very close-up. I used large loops, no zip ties.

Correction, I see I did use two zip ties down low.

I used the 565 as thread sealant. I have set my brakes for a week and its held pressure with no leaks. I swaged my rudder cables before so you can move the pedals and adjust the pedals to make sure you have enough brake line without binding.

    Hey guys,

thanks. That is extremely helpful! Where did you get the stuff to protect the brake lines? I like the clips that hold them together. Where are those obtained?

This is how I did mine. Not a great picture, but it does show it.

Cobra ties is what I used, and braided expandable wrap. I used shrink wrap from amazon that has adhesive on the inside to keep them from sliding.
