    Default Cam Locks

I am following the instructions, tells me to drill a 1/4 hold for the stud. Cam lock stud does not fit flush. Do I countersink the 1/4 hole so the stud will sit flush? Or do you drill the hole bigger? Also does anyone know the part number to change out the cam lock to wing style? I picked up my kit in June of 2019 and the camlocks are SKybolt cam locks. I think I need part number ZG2600-1w to change them to wing style. Seems silly to have to get a screw driver out every time you want to check the oil? Am I missing something?

I drilled the door to accommodate the camlock as well as counter sinking that hole to allow for the cam lock to sit flush.

I believe you would be looking for PN
    04-02253 from AS&S

You should already have a screwdriver in your hand provided you buy the fuel sample tool with the phillips head on it.

Ah yes....have to get used to doing that again. In jets we “always” sump the fuel....👎

Trying to find just the wing stud on spruce, but no luck. Also do I need a tool to install retaining washers?

I just used an appropriate sized socket to push them down onto the camlock. 3/8 if I recall correctly?

Perfect! Next question is what did eveyone use to do the solid rivets on the camlocs? Is vise grips ground down the best? I can borrow some rivet sqeezers but I feel bad asking.

Ground down vice grips work fine, but the best is of course a genuine rivet squeezer. I used the vice grips.

Are you grinding down the vise grips so they are smooth and don’t mar the rivet?
