Thread: Bob C Build

    Default Bob C Build

I tried to post on here at the start of my build and couldn't get it to work, so I went to the Kitlog Pro site and documented my entire build. I just completed the first flight the other day and wanted to share my site. Took around 14 months and just under 1000 hours. Not quite finished yet, but up and flying when the weather up here in NW Washington is good. Flies great and the site is at http://www.mykitlog.com/rtc183/.
I used this site a lot for ideas and help when stuck. Thanks guys.

About time right? She fueled, insured, and pulling like horse during taxi tests. I have been ensured I’ll have the paper work in a week. I’m hoping to get it Friday but that might be too optimistic.

Yes, but you have had a bit on... and it is looking fantastic in that colour scheme and rather mean on that tall gear!! great job Josh - looking forward to it!! Actually, with today's technology, you could probably make it a live streaming event!!! - no pressure....

    Go well

Congrats Bob - nice looking plane. Need pilot reports as you go thru your test period.

Lots of rain up here this week. I will try to get out again soon and post my reports. As of the first flight the airplane flew well with a little right aileron needed, and I ran out of nose up trim with just me on board and 1/4 tanks with flaps half or full. Landed with half flaps because full was too much trim. The cg was not too close to the forward limit and it flew well with no flaps. I have an Airmaster prop and it was not getting a speed input some of the time. Some things to fix and try again.
