FYI, all you need to register your EAB is a kit serial number and an engine serial number. You don't have to have even started the build. I have my registration, and I'm still working on the fuselage chapter! (I registered now so I could quit renewing my reserved N-number).

True, but... Some state revenue offices look for new registrations so they can dig into your wallet. Don’t know how that part works yet.

You need to find out what each state says. In Idaho I cold just let it go until the plane was flying by checking a box that it wasn't flyable.
