What is the HP of this engine, it looks huge but it also looks way cool!

This is an IO-340 (stroked 320). Has 9:1 pistons, Superior cold air sump, and electronic ignition and fuel injection from flyefii.com. I'm guessing about 180-190hp. Don't have a dyno to confirm it but based on information from ECI/Titan I think it's pretty close.

Holy Cow, you will be going vertical and doing all those fancy tail skids holding altitude, you will be in the show at Oshkosh. Good for you, what event led you to put such a large engine in the Fox?
By the way, your setup looks good from your photos, nice work.

I guess I was looking for something a little different... and someone said it couldn't/shouldn't be done...
That said, not long after I mentioned it in the engine forum, there was an announcement from Kitfox that they had flown a 340 on their factory aircraft! I think they are still testing but Rans and Just Aircraft have also installed a 340. I think they are looking to compete with the carbon cubs.

    Got my cowl fitted today...!
Looks like I will need a 4" extension. Kitfox is using a 4" on the STi so it makes sense I guess...
