Its only happened a few times but still annoying.
I haven't got to that part of my project yet, but I can't imagine how the pump(s) would effect this. I'll keep pondering, though.

Hey Dustin - I'm looking at your wiring job (https://teamkitfox.com/Forums/thread...ll=1#post79275) and I have a question about the black wire bundle/conduit... is that for your under wing mood/camping lights? ;-)

    Thanks!

Nav lights, under-wing lighting, OAT temp, pitot tube, AOA, magnetometer, depending on what wing. I used lacing string and anti-chaf to attach. The connector you can see is for connecting the NAV lights. I ran everything through the back spar into the fuselage from there.

Hi, where is the best place to get a carbon fibre Naca duct that will work for the Edge intercooler for the Rotax Edge 156hp. I tried the search function on here with no luck.

We used fiberglass ones from proworks. We had to cut them and modify them to work. Originally I used a smaller one but figured out the Intercooler needed more air. Check out post 543 in build log and I list the part.

That is the same one i have ordered today from chassisshop, did you have to shorten it, or what did you have to do to modify it?

Yes I had to shorten it some, and then put a bend in it. I also opened it up some to allow more airflow in. You really want to make sure you make an airbox for the Intercooler so all the air coming in the naca goes through the Intercooler. I will see if I can post some more pictures if that would be helpful.

Originally I tried the two smaller naca's thinking that would give me enough cooling. On Cory's plane we did one single large naca and he saw intake temps 20F lower than me. I decided to go back and cut in another larger naca, and box my intercooler better. The small top naca is not used anymore just FYI. I cut score marks to flex it as needed to fit the cowl shape.
I fiber glassed it to the cowl and used superfill to fill the seems.
