I'm installing the banjo fittings. Did you come up with a torque setting for the banjo bolt or did you go by feel? The only number I could find was for brakes and it was 95-122 in-lbs not to exceed 144 in-lbs. Since the bolt is going into an aluminum bushing, I figure it can't be too high and you're only trying to seal the crush washers. Thanks.

Is this the fitting that has to come out annually to check the screen?

Not a way to get a torque wrench in there so I was using an end wrench. I tightened them as tight as I could get it with the a small end wrench.

I don’t plan on pulling them out as it would be a lot of wear and tear on the tank and start to leak. I think I read some use a bore scope from filler cap to check strainer?

Do you plan to swap your G3X from your panel to his to see if its the G3X?
I am crossing my fingers on my fuel fittings. No problems so far. I wish I had done the banjo fittings myself. I see you had to cut the fitting. I think in spite of my modifications to the rib, I will have to cut mine as well.

Eddie I made modifications to rib prior in hopes if it leaks I could unscrew it’s. I fortunately I think you will tear the fabric if you don’t cut the 90 off. The diameter of the banjo fitting is much larger than brass 90 so you have to open up the rib some.

So today we swapped G3x and gsu-25. Error did not follow. Basically we are down to a wiring issues. I have checked ground and power. Next theory is there is something going on with the vertical power. For some reason the GSU-25 is power cycling after 3 second of seeing airspeed. I didn’t have my laptop. Vertical power is not saying Gsu-25 is exceeding amps, but maybe it’s happening for a split second? It drawing so little power it’s not display any amp draw on the g3x.

We found the problem! VPX plug J1 pin 2, is power cycling momentary. For some reason when the GSU-25 see's airspeed for 3 seconds or more which must alter the amp draw slightly and the VPX changes voltage enough to cause the GSU-25 to reboot. I switched two pins, 1 to 2 and 2 to1. (GSU-25 to GPS 20) Now the GPS reboots randomly and the Adahrs works normally.

Nice bit of troubleshooting there Dustin. So you'll have to R&R the VPX unit?

We could combine those two circuits into 1. The amp draw is less than .1 between them both, and not use pin 2, but would prefer to send it back. Working on a replacement.

I bet you sure did some head scratching to find that.
Glad you got it narrowed down.

Yes lots of head scratching. I will tell you I am very glad every wire was labeled as it helped troubleshooting all of this. Vertical power is saying we must return the unit and they will test it. So.......now we wait!
