Lightbulb Information On the Kitfox STI

    Hello!

I am constructing a Kitfox STI model (based on the one flown by Trent Palmer) for X-Plane 11 and could use some pictures or technical data. Due to the experimental nature of the aircraft, there is not a lot of public technical details. The goal is to construct a study-level model where actual Kitfox pilots can practice without having to fly their aircraft or people who want to buy a Kitfox can try it out. Pictures showing the aircraft level and showing the plane from a side view, front view, and a top view would be greatly appreciated! Here is the link to the development page of the plane https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php...omment-1600077

Thank you for any help you can give!

    NASA Test Pilot.

Ah yes! Just what I have been waiting for! Mine is still being built so I can’t offer much real numbers. Willing to send any pictures that could help.

something as flattering as this? Just contact Trent. I have three view photos of my S7 SS sitting here in front of me. Standard wing. If you feel the STI wing is something you must have in the photo, Im afraid its the Factory or Trent that you need to get in touch with at this point in time. just read your other thread. You can find quite a bit of information you may need in the build manual. The entire manual for the firewall back is found on the Kitfox web site. Specifically, the rigging of the Flapperons and there deflection angles are all there.

By the way, does anyone know what airfoil the STI wing uses, if I can get that the plane would fly a lot closer to the real thing. As for contacting kitfox I did do that a week ago but have got gotten a response.

    Thanks again

    It’s a proprietary airfoil

Well that makes things a bit harder. Does anyone have a picture of the STI wing rib? I could use a picture to make a close approximation of the airfoil instead.

I know a couple of guys with NASA. I didn’t know NASA test pilots were so secretive about who and where they were... are you like a spy or something?
