Default Garmin G5 and GMC 305 autopilot

Has anyone installed the GMC 305 autopilot using the G5 EFIS?

    Hi Cposer,

The G5 flight instrument with the GSA28 servos, along with the GMC 507 Autopilot Controller (required) is a great upgrade path. The -507 controller is required because it is the only mode controller that communicates on the CAN BUS protocol with the G5. All of the install information for the G5, including the interface with the autopilot can be found in the install manual readily available from the Garmin website at https://support.garmin.com/support/m...=en&country=US. The autopilot information can specifically be found in Appendix A.

For those wanting to retrofit an autopilot without going the full glass G3X route, this would be an excellent package to consider.
