    Default Oil cooler line fittings

Anybody have problems getting the oil lines over the fittings on the oil cooler? I can get it over the first barb and down to the base of the second barb, but I can't seem to go any further than that. I tried using some Aeroshell oil to lubricate it thinking it might make it easier, but it didn't help much.

Is there some sort of trick that works better than brute force or do I just spend too much time behind a keyboard these days? This is on a 912is install.

Make sure the oil line is nice and warm to make it more pliable.

That might help. The lines are probably about 50-60 degrees F. The heat gun that you use with Oratex goes down to 120, so I'll try heating the lines with that.

Yes, heat them up. I put the ends in a pot of hot water, lubed with oil, and they went on pretty well. It still took some elbow grease to get them all the way down.

I use a kettle. Bring water to a boil then put end of hose in it till it is warmed and softened .
