Thanks Jim! Unfortunately I don't have any 'spare parts' laying around to swap out and use for deducing the problem. I did have that Model IV, but it was sold so now all I have is the one Rotax powered flivver.
There is that "perseverance" thing again. Nice job Jim.

A lot of checks can be done without extra parts just by switching things around and seeing if the problem changes to the other mag side or stays on the same side. Also, if you have a multimeter, you can check resistance values on everything but the modules. I can scan the page in my maintenance manual that shows those values if you don't have the manual. If you have it, look on page 99. Now that I've been through it, it doesn't seem that hard, but now I have it in my head better how the system works. JImChuk
