Just ran across this while doing a little research on floats
These look like they might be worth a try if one needs floats

So $125 for the MS float (is that per pair?) vs. $50 for a pair of Rotax floats from CPS? I'm obviously missing something.

I just looked at a few different websites. CPS prices are all over the place. One place says $646 for 4 floats with 2 bowl gaskets. It's probably a misprint that should be $246 since the 914 kit includes the same plus O-rings and is priced at $256.95. Another CPS site shows $49.85 a pair. (I'll take those) Spruce's price is $93.50 per float. Leaf is $150.95 a pair. The Pilot Shop has them for $102.80 a pair. Ebay has used one for $45 each but who wants used floats? The Marvel floats might not be too out of line with their price if they are as good as they say. I hope I never need to buy any. I have an unused set that came new with my engine. I changed over to the new style before I ever flew it. I'm saving them just in case. James Thomas
Sorry. Didn’t mean to advocate. Just meant to make folks aware that these are available
Maybe Rotax got their float problems fixed but have read posts on other forums of people getting new Rotax floats that were defective

No need for an apolgy. I was just surprised that someone would try to enter the market at that price point. Doesn’t make sense to me.
Did someone recently purchase Marvel Schebler?

Good Point. I submitted a question to MS to ask if the $125 is for a single float, or a pair of floats. I do agree that $500.00 for four floats is too high.
I thought when I saw them online, it was for a pair of floats, but going back and reading it again, it really may be $125 for each float.
I went back and looked at Aircraft Spruce and they sell a Pair of floats for $93.00, so your right - that is a much better value.
I'll report back if I hear from MS.

If the MS floats are superior, potentially a "lifetime" item instead of the constant problems with the Bing units, there maybe a market for them at $25 more per pair.
https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catal.../carbfloat.php Says quanity 1.
That's a quantity of 1 pair - (2 floats - enough for one carburetor).

Got a reply from MS today.
“The MS80-430 floats are offered at $125.00 US. This is for 2 floats that are direct replacements for the existing Bing floats P/N 861-184.”
Ok. Now it’s not too bad a deal. I think if I ever have to replace floats I would probably use these. It would eliminate taking the floats out n weighing them each year.
