Red face Starting a Model 1 Kitfox

Hello: I am just starting a Model 1 Kitfox. The kit is a mid 80's version that has been stored for years and is like new. I have many questions that the forum members could help with. This is my third build project. I completed a Kolb Firefly 2 years ago and a Kolb Firestar N375HH last year. My first question is I am considering an HKS 700 E or the Rotax 912ul for this project. Any thoughts on that idea? Next question is this kit did not include a cowl. The new Kitfox company still has available the Model 4 cowl. Has anybody had any experience in fitting a M4 cowl to a M1 or M2 fuselage? That's it for now. Would really like to get some constructive input here. Thank you.

I recently purchased an '84 Model 1 which had never been built.
The engine question is on my mind also. Weight, of course, is an
important element. I have had excellent luck with 912's, so am
leaning that way. It does look like the Model 4 cowl will work
with the Rotax. When you get close let me know and I will
    measure it for you.

    Phil
