    Default Rebuilding Kitfox Fuel Valves

Has anyone had any success or even know if it's possible to rebuild the factory supplied fuel valves that go between the wing tank and header tank. They are Kitfox Part# 29001.300.

If there is no way to rebuild them, is there a cheaper alternative, as I really don't feel like paying $50+ for a new one...?

    Thanks in advance!

I used ball valves from the aviation aisle at Ace Hardware.

I use those too... they can be great for that application. Or, you can buy them from Aircraft Spruce and pay a whole bunch more. How do I know?... I had a friend who years ago "introduced" A/S to these nice little "fuel" valves, selling many, many of them - indirectly from Ace Hardware, through him, to Spruce. I've had one on my Thorp for 27 years (direct from Ace).

Have a Pic of one? I don't like the idea of dealing with unequal feed from the fuel tanks.

If you zoom in on this photo you can see one just behind the door opening.

    Hi,
how did you manufacture the top of your baggage area where the sockets for the headset are?

The rear shelf is part of the baggage compartment which is aluminum sheet covered in light carpet. I welded tabs to the tubes behind the seat for the baggage compartment and rear shelf. The headset plugs are part of this system.
