    Default Plywood Floorboard breaking ??

Has anyone had any problems with the plywood floorboards breaking? Is it necessary to make a doubler that would fit underneath between the tubing,
so would not effect the height, or are they well enough supported?
    Thanks
    Brian

I've never heard of one breaking Brian. There really is never that much weight that is imparted on the boards. The seat takes the majority of weight while getting in or out and of course once seated. Very good quality aircraft plywood is used.

    Brian,

I don't think this is a problem. Very sturdy stuff. Best to follow the manual's instructions. Adding materials that might rub on the tubing could possibly introduce another unintended issue.

My opinion is completely/correctly varnishing on both sides is important to seal out moisture and is the most important factor in preserving the floorboards.
