    Default rudder pedals

I am new to Kitfox. Bought one unfinished. There is a kit to reinforce the rudder pedals, because apparently the welds crack. Any info about this kit that costs 146 bucks?

If you do a search of rudder pedal reinforcement, you will get lots of info. Here is one of the posts I found doing that. JImChuk

From what I have read, the reinforcement is a must do thing.

I confess I don't understand the gusset repair. It doesn't seem to reinforce against any of the presumed load paths. (Are there significant lateral loads on the pedal?) Attached is my repair, which, though difficult to see, shows welded straps around the primary torque members. (The top strap is really unnecessary.)
