Congrats Carl on the MVP (maximum visual progress). I remember that as one of the highlights too, when I put the landing gear on.

Part of the overall plan was to try and find a T-hanger at a nearby airport with a nice group of people. A few months back fellow forum member BHolland introduced me to Aero Estates (T25). With his gentle shove, I visited and was delighted to find a 3100' grass strip, with access to a 23,000 acre Lake Palestine, and an active group of flyers and residents. I bought a lot, then went straight home and ordered soft fat tires.
Construction has started on a 40 x 50 x 12 pole barn hanger with a simple FoldTite door. With that much room, there will certainly be room for visitors should you find yourself somewhere over East Texas. Now in the building frame of mind, we've also started construction on a new home and tractor barn. As you can imagine, Kitfox work has been reduced to a few hours grabbed here and there. And I'm starting to think Spring '19 might be more realistic than this Fall.

That’s awesome Carl. My wife and I are considering the same thing in the next few years. Possibly moving to Idaho.
Keep us posted on your “other” building project

Wholly Cow! That is so awesome Carl. Might explain why we have heard so little of you lately. That lake is huge and it appears to have an access road from the neighborhood. Maybe an amphibian KF is possible now.
You're really going to be living the life, Carl. Back many years ago when we considered moving back to Texas, we knew we would have to be on a lake. Having a lake AND airstrip? Awesome!!

Certainly more than a shed! Very cool Carl! Put me on the list of visitors!

The airport does have an amphibian ramp and dock and a couple of planes use it. I'll stick with tires and grass. Surely a boat is in the future, but I'm already several birthdays ahead in "Dear, can I buy this?"

This is what’s called living the dream Carl. Your new setup is going to be fantastic. But it’s just a tad too far for me and others from down under to come and visit .... throw us a line so we drag Aus a bit closer ...

When you say build a shed, you really mean it! Definitely the dream right there. Congratulations.
