    Default wing tip mount

I am working on my wings and reading ahead I see the tip mount metal is mounted to the rib after the wing is covered. The instructions say to bond the metal to the rib along with rivets. The bonding will then be to the covering and not to wood, is this how it is done, did I read this correct?

Yes that is how its done. But if you think about it, that fabric is fully saturated with the PolyTak glue which is pretty strong stuff. So you are actually bonding the tip mount metal to a layer of PolyTak. Along with the rivets its plenty strong. There is not much force tending to separate this joint anyway. Of course you fit the mounting strips and drill the rivet holes before you cover the wing.
