    Default False rib installation

    Hi All,

The build manual suggests using super glue to hold the false ribs in place on the spars for gluing with hysol. Just wondering if anyone had any other "tricks" to hold them, other than the super glue?

    thanks

I used masking tape on all ribs, even on the tail surfaces. Two strips around the tube leaving a gap from the rib. slop on hysol with a butter knife. smooth with finger. pull off masking tape for a perfect clean glue line

add tape across top of rib to tube to hold until dry

I skipped the super glue. You will find that if you do one side of the wing at a time, that the hysol is tacky enough to hold them in place.

I found that a couple of drops of superglue in two places worked really well. Held them nice and solid while applying the Hysol.
