    Default Rudder trim tab?

So I flew my plane last week for the first time and it a hands off flyer except for the fact that it needs just a touch of right rudder to center the ball.

I'm thinking I could take a piece of aluminum and attach it to the rudder with double stick 3M tape.

Does anyone know what size tab I should use or perhaps have a picture of one?

    Hi Greg,

If you do a search on "rudder trim" there should be a bunch of threads on the subject.

Many with photos and many different ways of making a rudder trim.

    Sincerely,

I used rivets to attach the trim tab.

About 8" attached with heavy duty double stick tape. Still going after 5 years.

Thank you for the picture. I was thinking they'd be bigger. What size is yours?

Sorry I meant the width. It looks like a couple inches.

Do you have a bend on it? If so, about how much?

Can't say exactly. I think I started with about 20 degrees then tweaked it by flying and adjusting.
