    Default VGs

I'm thinking about putting VGs on my series 7. I was told by a guy that installed the [ land shorter ] brand VGs on his 5. That it made a big change in his stall speed and climb performance.
I can't seem to find any info on the series 7. Anybody have any information good or bad.
    Thanks John

You should search the forum for VGs. There has been lots of discussions on this and you should find information on the subject.

In a nutshell VGs on the wing won't do much for you because the flaperons are separate from the wing. VGs on the bottom of the horizontal stab can enhance elevator authority and may give a lower stall speed.

The series 5 and 7 aren't really that much different, especially as far as the VGs go.

    Hello,
My model 5 outback has VG's , they were on when I bought it.

I don't like them when its time to clean bugs off !

Sort of like spoked wire wheels on a Harley Davidson, they look neat, but they are a pain in the A&& to clean.

Here are a few links to existing VG threads:

Also, try typing "vortex" into the Search drop-down box in the top menu bar - when I did that I came up with 23 threads that included something about or a reference to VGs.
