Is there a trick to get the fire sleeve over the oil cooler hose? I can only get around 8 inches on and then it binds up and won't go any further. I'm going over the blue oil hose supplied with the kit.

Marv,
Yup...there is a trick......take the firesleeve and seal off one end airtight (duct tape, clamps or whatever)......Take your air gun and insert it in one end of the hose intended to go inside the fire sleeve...apply air pressure (just enough) to one end of the hose while inserting the other end of the hose into the open end of the firesleeve. Helps to have an assistant. This inflates the firesleeve just enough and makes it all real easy. You won't burst the firesleeve if you have lots of air pressure...it all equilibrates and bleeds off.
Wear appropriate respiratory protection...don't breathe few particles/dust that becomes airborn from the inside of the firesleeve because of the air pressure.
Sort of the same principal as a colonoscopy....

Talcum powder on the hose also helps it slide.
