Hi everyone,
I'd like to equip a Mark IV fuselage with Mark III wings. Is there any problem of compatibility with the controls and the deflection ?
thank you

I'm not familiar with the flaperon mixer of a model 3, so I can't say for sure.
Part of the flaperon differential system on the model four is built into the flaperons. The flaperon horns are riveted to the flaperons at a specific angle...different for the left and right flaperon. It has to do with the flaperon control rods being "Clocked" one forward and one rearward to create the diferential.
Other than that, I can't think of any significant issues.

Interesting!
The flapperons on the 3 wings are mounted differently to the 4
Possibly this would put them too low to clear the fuselage.
I will try to get the hanger this weekend with a tape measure.
I assumed the 3 and early 4 (if that s what you have) were the same fuselage with a few mods.
The area around the turtle deck looks different,I assumed it was only due to the different mixer setup ,maybe there is more than meets the eye?
At the hanger today looking at 3v's4 wings.
I didn't get a chance to take maesurments, but the flapperons should clear, the 4 sits approx 1.5 inches higher.
I am mystified as to why the mismatch? A super stol 4 perhaps!
