Is anybody using .060 Lexan for their windshield? The spec is .093 but I can't find that thickness locally. My options are .060 and .125 and I don't know if the .125 is flexible enough.

Mike,.. Sabic Plastics in Chicago I just ordered .060 bronze tint for my turtle deck door windows and side windows,..they should have <090 or ,093
I posted their info on one of the lexan posts..

Sabic Plastic's out of Chicago has .060 x48"x96" bronze/clear/smoked lexan ..the bronze is $89.16..cost of shipping was $39 UPS it can be rolled for shipping

I'm going to try the 1/16th in. lexan this time. My kitfox is a low powered (52 HP) slow airplane. I think the early models used the 1/16th but can't find documentation anywhere.
The 1/6th is 2.7 pounds lighter than the .093. I need to save weight wherever I can.

Keep in mind that the service bulletin was for the Speedster and its heavy(er) windshield. I have always preferred the .060 for less crazing at the bends. I have the .093 on the IV now as it is what the guy I bought the kit from had. It has crazed like crazy and will I replace it with the .060, hopefully before one of the craze lines makes the big "POP". Yes the .060 will move at high speeds, but the typical IV cruise speeds are not a problem. My first (1993) IV came with .060. I replaced it once in 900 hours. Lots of preferences though, so go with your gut.
