    Default G force ratings

I remember seeing the photos of a Kitfox being tested (with all the sand bags).
I can't seem to find what results came from that. Anyone know the model # and the numbers that came from that? I was asked by an ole fighter pilot the other day.

I've never saw pictures of a Kitfox, but have a picture of an Avid Flyer wing being tested. Hard to read the printing, but it says that the weight equaled 5.7 G's at 911 lbs. gross weight. FAA requires that the load be held unsupported for at least 3 seconds. The weight on the Avid wing was left in place for 15 minutes, and when the weight was removed from the wing, it returned to it's original shape with no deformation present. Jim Chuk

Dan, do a search on this website for Kitfox load test and when the different threads come up, click on the "wow thats impressive" thread and toggle thru to find a photo from an old Skystar brochure that I posted. It shows the 5.7 ultimate G load test being done on a Series5. Bruce N199CL

Looking at the pictures on the Kitfox Website, I only have one question. Is that a young John McBean looking at the fushelage in the bottom picture of the wing load test?
