    Default Drumheller

A couple weeks ago a few of us flew from Edmonton to Drumheller where they have one of the largest dinosaur deposits in the world and a world class museum. It was a great trip for about 1.5 hours of flying at 100kts. If you are ever in the area, I would recommend it.

Wow. Beautiful. Nice camera work on the ground. Odd looking bunch of Kitfoxes though.

    Hi Esser
I was there last month with my Vixen C-FOXK. Guess I should have taken some pics!!! Takes me 4 hours from CYYF (Penticton). I went to the 100 Anniversary of my home town,Delia.
    Great flight over the rocks.
I plan on trying out my "covered wagon" next month with a Campervan trip to AZ.
    Your 914/Airmaster sounds pretty impressive.
    Cheers
    Don

T-Rex's leg and me a couple years ago. We visited my cousin west of Irricana and spent a full day at the museum.

Red Deer River Valley is an interesting place to fly near Drumheller. We have been out a couple of times to fly the river.

Think of the years of erosion to build this natural Pyramid. If you are in the area make Linden a stop. Strip is town maintained 16/34 Country Cousins is the eats place less that a block away. You have to try the peanut butter pie.

Anyone Know if there is a connection with names of Drumheller Alberta and The Drumheller Channels in Central Washington?

Here's a short youtube clip of the Drumheller Channels. I've walked on the tops of those columns. Quite impressive.

I have no idea if the Washington Drumheller or Drumheller Ab is related. I do know flying to the valley is Fun, Fun, Fun. We went for a final flight of the season yesterday. Today it's snowing and winter is here but yesterday it was smooth air and 15C or about 60F. Great day to fly to the east then back to Linden for breakfast for some and peanut butter pie. Did a short video of the flight.

To keep this KitFox...... I made some more progress on the Fox. Painted the visible tubes in the cockpit. It was red and I went to light Grey, final color planned is black and yellow.

Glad you enjoyed the ride. No doubt we took advantage of the last warm day. This is the view out the front window today.

While winter gives me a chance to play with skis I am coming south for the winter. Maybe I will get a chance to meet the AZ KitFox crowd.
