    Default Garmin gtr 200

Hello all, I'm in the testing phase with my series 6, and I'm having some issues getting my new garmin gtr 200 com radio, set for sending. Voice comes in nicely, but when I go to transmit, I get a sqealing noise when I press the PTT. Any suggestions, I've played with the squelch with no luck.

    Thanks

Suggestion #1 - Try tuning the mic gain down lower.

If turning the mic gain down doesn't work you might want to try another headset. I have seen situations where the only option was to change the microphone.

I would like any input on how people are liking the GTR-200. I am planning on getting one for my plane.

A good friend of mine just installed one in his Avid. He loves it.

I went through the instruction manual. There is no mention of adjusting the mic gain. I'll try a different headseat and see if that helps
