that's only a skif of snow. just don't use the brakes when landing or afterwards, land 3 point and let it drop on the runway, or in other words stall it for landing, than you roll out very slow. http://www.teamkitfox.com/Forums/alb...pictureid=4123
I'm generally the first one on the runway when it snows, freezing rain or whatever and give an account for the condition on the runway.

big tires will still work, have fun.

SlyFox for the South, it might as well as be 3 feet of snow. I went for my BFR yesterday it was 24 Deg F, I thought I was going to freeze up, not to mention my airplane didn’t want to start. Why anyone lives North of the Red River is a mystery to me!

I leave my planes plugged in 24/7 they think there below the red river line. hehe

can't beat the cold for performance

I guess that's where heat coats and heaters in the plane come in.

I was going to comment that Poor Dog in the 3rd picture needs to be in some place warm! I have one question I have one of those thermal strip heaters on my Oil Cooler, will that help, and should I leave it plugged in over night?

yup, and you can hit the current weather below that and see the real scoop. I have the reiff system and it has a heat pad on the bottom of the engine and a heat wrap around the oil tank. I leave mine on 24/7. starts like its summer time.

one more thing. I got a break in the weather sunday. had two hours of flying time between yuk and yuk. took both airplanes up. wooohoo about time. but no snow. now I got the snow and the weather is below mins.

I really like flying in the snow, which I have done to 5 inches with my tires with no problems.

paul, that was our rescue dog reecie, it was her first snow/ice and she was really checking it out. but it didn't take long for either one of us to head for the house, only she got to climb up in my wife's lap to get warm.

Two days ago our high was -25º F with 30 mph winds.

Yesterday the high was -10º F.

Today it was a balmy +9º.

I think I own more snow removal equipment than the entire state of Georgia...
