I can attest to it's good looks after seeing it in person at Oshkosh.

Thanks, Ken...
I appreciate that, coming from the builder of one of the nicest ones I've seen. I believe I told you at OSH that I thought you should win an award there, and I meant that sincerely.

I scalloped the trailing edge of the LLE, as done by Bill & Phil (Desert Fox 1). Pic on page 1
John, What is the reason for scalloping the trailing edge of the LLE? This question coming from someone who know very little about building an airplane. Harlan

Esthetics. I believe the thought was that the scalloping would create a more graceful transition to the slight "valley" between the ribs that starts at the trailing edge of the LLE.

I agree with John. I have seen it both ways, straight and scalloped, and I think the scalloped gave the nicest looking transition, although its no big deal either way.

Took my wife, Vicki, for her first ride in the Kitfox today. She uses a wheelchair now, and we weren't sure she could get in or be comfortable. She loves to fly with me and hasn't been able to for a few years. We figured it out and took off before the sun set. It was a beautiful flight with my gal...married almost 49 years!

Congrats on the flight John. With 2020 being what it has been - stories such as this one are inspiring. Where there is a will, there is a way!! And, congrats on the 49 years as well. Darrel

That's great to see John. You've been enjoying your beautiful Kitfox for a couple of years, glad you were able to share with your wife. Probably 99% of my flights are with my wife.

That's a great wall hanger photo for your kids right there. Great to see marriages that last in this day and age. I hope Susan and me make it, 31 and counting.....

Got to love pics like that!!! With smiles like that Santa has issues trying to decide "Naughty or nice". As it should be. Figuring out how to get her in the aircraft just shows your priorities are in the right place.
Happy New Year John.
