Hope to go to Narromine. Will depend on weather. Nearly ready for 1st engine run, all very exciting.

Looks like you and your mom were doing hangar aerobatics. Congrats on the milestone. And yes, -272 is a little too cold for me.
Nice work Ross!
Exciting times, youve got an aeroplane to be proud of that's for sure!

I had the same issue with my OAT. If I recall I ended up connecting the probe to the EFIS and it passed to the EMS via the data signal. I had to put the resistor at the end of the line (on the ems harness) to get the can bus working. I decided that the OAT sharing between the two was a simple way to prove that I had a valid Can bus working.
Once you get them matched up, there is an offset adjustment to get them exactly the same. It seems like the electronics in one displayed the temp a degree higher.
Thanks guys - Now Ben and Phil - I have seen workmanship of both you guys and I will never be able achieve that standard but thanks for the kind words and encouragement. What happened to the more regular posts Ben? no pressure! And thanks for the info on the OAT's Tim - I suspected that might be the issue - will attend to it today.
And Mum did enjoy the upside down hanger flight Josh! (I didn't mean to post it that way but smiled when it appeared...)
cheers

Don't worry at -272 it will never start. I really got a laugh out of you tickling the starter. I had a tacky joke but I opted not to post it!
