Here is how I modified my pants
Here is how I modified my pants
Front pants, I put tape only on rear half of pants so epoxy will not stick. Then I put clear shipping tape over the blue tape and waxed only the tape area with Johnson's paste wax.
This photos after I cut it apart. But you can see where I made the line

I put 3 layers of 4 oz glass cloth. I put a little carbon black in the epoxy so I can see how deep my cut is when I separated the halfs. I used a dremel with a diamond blade to cut.
Here you can see it installed before I glass in the fork . I over cut the hole to allow for clearance during turns
I used nut plates with solid rivets to hold them in place
I made reinforcement plates with hinges to allow checking tire pressure .
Here is the outside of the access doors
Here is the door
nice job Gizmo ..thumbs up ~!
Thanks, I will post more when finished. I own a RV6A that does access doors on pants, their are a pain. With the front pant, you can cut the wheel opening smaller and don't need the large hole to tighten up front nut on fork. They are very easy now to install/ remove. I made my own under seat tool boxes/storage binds. I have made the mold and still have to finalize hinge design
