The factory demo plane has the landing light mounted just behind the front cowl air scoop that is right in front of the engine (912s) oil pump. Apparently no problems with blocking coolong air flow.

That is where I have mine, works well.

What type/where did you get your lights? My buddy replaced his stock lights in his Cessna 210. The led lights doesn't produce heat, therefore they get covered with snow/ice and donot work. Not an issue for my flying. Picture of my paint

Nice job on the paint! I like your paint scheme. I'll be painting my final coats this week.
I went with Aeroleds.
The Aerosun (x 2), mine are in a box awaiting retrofit (rainy day project) of the old 55w halogens that are in the wing tips. They are real bright and also feature a wig wag mode for recognition.

I finally did the retrofit, Aeroleds Aerosuns are real bright, I really like the wig wag feature for recognition.
also replaced the aeroflash strobes with Aeroleds Pulsar EXP .
I now can run the pulsar strobes and the aerosuns wig wag at the same time, all the time without any noticable voltage drop.
with the 912uls internal generator I would get a voltage drop alarm if I ran the old aeroflash and halogen landing lights together for more than a few minutes.
Aeroleds are one of the sponsors of this sight, look on the left.
In the picture the leds look yellow , that was from the camera flash.

Another less expensive option.
I also added an electronic flasher to make it flash.

Video below is of freshly installed Aeroled's that replaced 55w halogen landing lights in my model 4's wingtips. I fly with them on in the wig-wag setting on every flight. They are a great safety feature and use a fraction of the power that the halogens did.

I helped a guy finish a Series V with the SS 7 firewall forward. He wanted the lights below the spinner. We made a mold of fiberglass then plaster and heat formed a piece of acrylic for the lens. The forward facing oil cooler provided the perfect mount. As you can see, the two modules are somewhat offset so one is primarily the landing light and the other a taxi light - tailwheel.
