Trip to Orcas Island

Well, last weekend was simply the most amazing day in months for the Seattle area. Severe clear for both days of the weekend is almost never heard of. So my daughter and I took advantage of the conditions and headed to the San Juan Islands to land at Orcas. This is almost always our first thought when looking for a destination to go to. It's under an hour away, you can walk from the airport into town and down to the beach, and they have Ice Cream!



Here's the timelapse video shot from my left wing. It was the first test run of the new wing mount I got from John at KitfoxAircraft to mount up a GoPro. More to come in the future as I just picked up a second GoPro to mount to the gear at the same time! Once I get both mounts going, I'll do a feature review of the mounts and camera setup for those that are interested.

That's pretty cool Andy, I flew to Orcas island once (starting from Mass) as I recall a very beautiful place.
