I have a used, complete solid tire Maule tailwheel assembly if you are interested. It has about 100 hours use on it. Great condition. Message me if you are interested.

hi guys, the great thing experimental aircraft is we are not bound to approved parts as on certified aircraft. I once went to granger and found a solid wheel in there catalog to replace the wheel and tire on a scott tail wheel I had on a skybolt to stop tail wheel shimmey on pavement.worked great hope this helps
Thank's for your post but i check the maule replacement(highwing post)
Is 155$ just for the rubber....it's so expensive
I need your opinion for my kitfox II ( i'm a new pilot only with 4 hours on tailwheel)
At matco i can pay 166$ for a new tailwheel setup and more Lighter

What do you recommand for me..
1-.go with maule tire replacement
2-go with matco new tailwheel 7"
If you recommand matco...can i fit easly to my kitfoxII our is hard to fit that.
Solid tire or pneumatic tire for land on grass and paver runway.
Sorry for my poor english but i'm sure you understand

Converting to the Matco may require some work (not much) but in my opinion would be well worth it.
After tiring of the shimmy on my original Maul, I went to the "Homebuilders" tailwheel from Aircraft Spruce. I was very satisfied with it. Much quieter than the Maul and it was a plug and play. I got it from ACS. The first I had was the double fork because I wanted to maintain the CG of my first airplane, but this time I want to the single fork for weight saving reasons.

avr82400 can you explain exactly some work
to put a matco on my kitfox?
david
Some work:
- Maybe Re-Rigging the chains and springs
- Maybe making a shim to account for whatever size tail spring you have (1-1/4 or 1-1/2")
- Maybe a different length attachment bolt
That's all I can think of...
