Well gave it a good run but finally had to give in to mother nature. Left the kitfox in kcys and got a flite home. Setting in kalt to catch the next flite to kmyr in 2 hr then rent a car and drive 1 1/5 hr and will be home. Had 2 great days of flying the kitfox, loged 20 hr,s in 2 days and was comfortable the whole time . Wish i could have made it to mccall for the flyin but was not to be. Now got to work on getting it back home.

Jamesmil,
Sorry to hear, but you did give it all you could. That storm just won't let up. I went to the airport today to launch and it was real iffy. Then the wind came up to 28 mph and I threw in the towel. I plan to do it again tomorrow morning out of Ogden and see what happens.

Just got word from a buddy who came thru McCall this evening. At least two Kitfoxes there now. From Deer Park and San Juan, WA.

I am Steve. I flew up with Phil in his 7SS. We left Phoenix on tues. morning but had to fly west almost to L.A. to get around the weather. Stayed in Hawthorn,NV over night and got into Homedale at about 11 Wed. morning. Actually after a little scud running east of Blythe, we had a really great flight up.

Still low clouds and raining, raining, raining in Huntsville/Ogden, UT. Not going to get out today. Hoping for a break in the weather tomorrow morning so we can get to the fly-in.

just looking at "myradar" Steve and it looks like that mess is slow moving down by you,..is there a southern route that you can take to get around it?
SkyPirate,
Yes, there is a southern route, but it takes me thu Mexico!!
Looking at the time, distance, weather, etc. I think my fun meter is about to run out. My wife was excited to go, but her excitement has expired. Think I'll just throw in the towel for this year. This slow moving storm really hit at a bad time for many of us. I'll really miss seeing all the Kitfox family. Kinda wish this was an annual event. Another two years is a long way off.
