I found your album pics and comments on the skis but had a few more questions. Are they mounted with the 3/4" axles? Are those the original 8" wheels? Airdale skis?
I'd like to put my III on skis at some point but would like to use my original bungee gear and wheels if possible.

Thanks for the coments guys. The skis are homemade, copied from the Avid skis my buddy that took the pictures has. They provide pretty good floatation. When I climbed out of the plane that day I was up to my knees. They use the 3/4" axle but I made some axles that are longer (they stick through the dust caps) that are the right length for mounting the wheel pants. Takes about 30 minutes to remove the wheel pants and put the skis on. Wheels are the stock Matco set up that came with the kit. Tires stick through the skis about 3/4".
