Hello to everyone. Sorry I have not posted in such a long time but I have been busy FLYING! Its been over 3 1/2 yrs flying Miss Daisy now and I can say I have loved every flight. I have flown to the upper part of Maine to the lower part of North Carolina( Including First flight airport) and everywhere in between. I have made alot good friends along the way and Look forward in making many more. Along the way I have been taken video footage of my flights and finally have started to put them together into videos. So here is the first one. Joe,

Mine's pretty simple. I use the Contour camera and just wrapped a Velcro strap around the camera base and the strut where the strut attaches to the wing, with a little foam between the two. I can remove the camera for downloading and battery charging and leave the base on the strut. Download, format the stick, charge, reinstall on the base and go again. Of course, any times I then forget to turn the stupid camera on. Oh, well ...

Wannafly...... if you use a GoPro camers (see picture below), mounting is REAL simple. I've attached a few pictures. The GoPro take great stills and movies in HD format.

    Ackselle,
How do you hold the bases on the locations shown in your photos?

    SkySteve,

When I attach the GoPro mount, I make sure the surface is real clean.....so the "tape" on the mount holds. I don't mount to fabric, because I think the fabric would be damaged. On the struts, when I mount the camera, I wrap the mount with duct tape. The mounts on the solid material (cowl, wing tips, sun roof) will not come off.

The mount I like most is the tab used to hold the wings in transport position.... It's held in place with a bolt, washer and locknut.

I talked with the GoPro people at Osh Kosh..... They are confident their mounts are more than enough to hold the camera in place at speeds much higher than we will endure in a Kitfox.
