    Default Front wheel shimmy

I finally got around to re-installing my front wheel pant after a repair and after doing so it shimmy's really bad when I land. I have it on video... I tightened the spring loading on the front gear per the instructions and it worked great without the fairing. Should I tighten it some more? I don't want to break anything.... Or is there a secret that I should know about to stop the shimmying?

Tighten the nut until there is about 15-20 pounds of break-away force when pulled from the rear of the tire. You may also need to install new spring washers.

Like John says, tighten the hub bolt and test for 15-20#'s of pull when turning the wheel. I found a fish scale worked well in determining the pull. It works!
